1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website skyview-remodeling.com and any services provided by Skyview Remodeling LLC, a licensed Oregon contractor (CCB# 239819). By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of our website and services.

2. Services

Skyview Remodeling provides residential remodeling, renovation, and maintenance services in the Portland Metro area, including but not limited to:

• Kitchen and bathroom remodeling
• Home additions and basement remodels
• Exterior painting, siding, and roofing
• Deck and porch construction
• Pressure washing and home maintenance

The specific scope of services, timeline, materials, and pricing for each project will be outlined in a separate written contract or proposal agreed upon by both parties prior to commencement of work.

3. Estimates and Quotes

Any estimate or quote provided by Skyview Remodeling is an approximation based on information available at the time of assessment. Final costs may vary due to unforeseen site conditions, material price changes, or changes to project scope requested by the client. A binding contract will be executed prior to the start of any work.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in the individual project contract. Generally:

• A deposit may be required prior to project commencement.
• Progress payments may be due at agreed-upon milestones.
• Final payment is due upon project completion and client sign-off.
• Overdue payments may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month or the maximum allowed by Oregon law.

We accept payment via check, bank transfer, or other methods specified in the contract. All prices are in U.S. Dollars.

5. Client Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth project, the client agrees to:

• Provide accurate and complete information regarding the property and project requirements.
• Ensure safe and reasonable access to the work site during agreed-upon working hours.
• Obtain any necessary homeowner association (HOA) approvals prior to project start.
• Secure and remove any personal items or valuables from the work area.
• Notify Skyview Remodeling promptly of any concerns or changes to the project scope.

6. Permits and Compliance

Skyview Remodeling will obtain all required building permits for the project unless otherwise agreed in writing. Permit fees are typically included in the project quote. Work will be performed in compliance with applicable Oregon building codes, regulations, and CCB licensing requirements. The client is responsible for obtaining any required HOA or neighborhood approvals.

7. Changes to Project Scope

Any changes to the originally agreed project scope (change orders) must be documented in writing and signed by both parties. Change orders may affect the project timeline and total cost. Work on change orders will not begin until a written agreement is executed.

8. Warranty

Skyview Remodeling warrants that all work will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner and in accordance with applicable building codes. Specific warranty terms will be outlined in the project contract. This warranty does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications by the client or third parties.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Pre-existing conditions or issues not related to our work.
• Damage caused by acts of God, flooding, earthquakes, or other natural disasters.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Oregon law, Skyview Remodeling’s total liability to the client for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific project giving rise to the claim. In no event shall Skyview Remodeling be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising from our services, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be submitted to mediation before pursuing legal action. Any legal proceedings shall be governed by the laws of the State of Oregon and conducted in Washington County, Oregon. Clients may also file complaints against licensed Oregon contractors with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB).

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and graphics, is the property of Skyview Remodeling LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content without prior written permission.

12. Website Disclaimer

Our website is provided on an as-is basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the website will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the website at any time without notice.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Skyview Remodeling LLC, its officers, employees, and subcontractors from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of our website, or any inaccurate information you provide to us.
